At RRDCreative we look forward to the festive time of year where it’s good will to all and nippy on the nose, possibly more importantly the season of advent chocolate and mulled wine. Hence, a lot of good intentions being outlined for the year ahead. As always, we like to spread this festive cheer with our Christmas campaign, but last year we thought we would focus on the joys of giving as opposed to receiving. With this we also saw it as a perfect opportunity to do good and raise some well needed funds for our chosen charity I CAN.
I CAN are the children’s communication charity who’s mission is to ensure that no child who struggles to communicate is left out or left behind. As many as half of all children are entering primary schools without the speech and language skills that they need to learn, make friendsand achieve. With the right help, early on, outcomes can dramatically improve for these children.
To do this we created a very minimally designed concept to keep the focus on the purpose of the campaign and to illustrate that in an effort to raise as much money for the charity we were not spending on lavish print processes. The concept was simple, cards were sent out with unique codes inside of them that could be entered on the custom built campaign website. Once each code was entered the allocated amount would be added to the over all donation fund. The purpose of this was to get our clients, partners and suppliers to not only see that we had donated money on their behalf, but to get them involved in the giving to allow them to also get that warm feeling of doing something good for individuals who need it.

Thanks to the participation of those who received the campaign we managed to raise £500 to donate to I CAN. Again, we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped us in doing this.
